Las Vegas & California Instagram Diary

Sharing some of my favourite Instagram moments from our recent road trip in Las Vegas and California.

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I had a good few weeks away travelling through Las Vegas and California.

The only way to road trip is with a Ford Mustang, and THAT is exactly what we did!

We started our journey off in Las Vegas, staying at the stunning and beautiful Forbes triple five star luxury Mandarin Oriental hotel.
Our room had wonderful views of the strip and was perfectly positioned next to the Crystals Mall!

This road trip was all about the music.
On the playlist to Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam, was Coldplay’s ‘Adventure of a lifetime’.

Couldn’t help a cheeky family selfie at the Hoover Dam.
Chance is wearing a hat from Emile et Rose bought from Childrensalon.
The Mr is wearing original Wayfarers from Rayban, and I am wearing sunglasses from Chanel.

We couldn’t leave Las Vegas without visiting Ugo Rondinone's Seven Magic Mountains art installation in Las Vegas.
A little more dancing was to be had in the desert.

Leaving Nevada behind and heading to California via Mojave desert and Joshua Tree National Park.
On the playlist, Hotel California by the Eagles.

On the way to Coachella Valley, couldn’t help but stop off at some more art in the Desert.
Chance just loved the reflections from Phillip K Smith III, the circle of land and sky.
I am wearing a halter neck swing sundress in stripe from ASOS, and wedges from Jimmy Choo.

Look at this cutie.
Chance is wearing a hat from Emile et Rose bought from Childrensalon, Navy Nautical breton sailor top from JoJo Maman Bébé, pull-on denim shorts from Gap, and railroad stripe slip-on sneakers also from Gap.

The first thing you see when you hit Palm Springs city limit is the thousands and thousands of windmills, so we couldn’t help but get a shot before we left Palm Springs for Beverly Hills.

Bye Palm Springs!

Of course, I found the Lady Gaga mural on Melrose Avenue, LA.
I am wearing Slim fit Oxford shirt from Uniqlo and the prettiest pink deconstructed tulle skirt from ASOS. The LA girls LOVED the skirt. Made me feel like Mama still had it!
The comfy wedges are from Jimmy Choo

After enjoying breakfast burritos on Venice beach, we took a (long) walk to Santa Monica Pier for $15 caramel popcorn and candyfloss.
This gorgeous daddy is rocking the original Ergobaby carrier in black and camel.

Like a true Instagrammer, I made sure we headed to LACMA to see the iconic Chris Burden ‘Urban Light’ masterpiece.
I am wearing a polka dot jumpsuit from Zara.

My boys at the Levitated Mass at LACMA.

Picnicking at the Griffith Observatory.
I am wearing the Zara jumpsuit, as seen before. Chance is wearing ecru Nautical breton sailor top from JoJo Maman Bébé with navy solid shorts from Gap.

A quiet moment at the Malibu Farm Cafe. Chance is wearing same as before.

Malibu Beach.

Spending the most wonderful time on Earth Day in Malibu.
Oversized floppy ‘Chase the sun’ straw hat and white gathered swimsuit, from ASOS.

Settling in at our new home in Santa Barbara, the Belmond El Encanto.
I am wearing floppy sun hat and wedges, as above. Yellow frilled sleeve dress from Zara.

The beautiful pool at the Belmond El Encanto, where you can splash in the zero-edged swimming pool, soak in the sun with beautiful views out to the Pacific.

Have you watched Big Little Lies?
Set in Monterey. Those women aren’t the only beauties.
Look at these sea-lions.

Stripes for San Francisco. We drove up the squiggly Lombard Street TWICE!
I am wearing this Striped frill dress from Zara.

Being a tourist is hard work. Headed South of the city to Mission, to this little Cuban spot I found...Media Noche.

The Painted Ladies of San Francisco, down in San Francisco’s historic African American neighbourhood NOPA.

Into the Muir Woods, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito, as we failed to make it to Yosemite National Park.

Twin Peaks isn’t the only place in San Francisco that you can get views of Downtown. Hello Bernal Heights Park.
I am wearing a gingham check dress from Mango.

Can I see our hotel from here? We chose the boutique hotel Zetta in SoMa for our 4 days in San Francisco.

Finally got a shot of us at the Golden Gate Bridge, which is orange and not red.

Goodbye San Francisco! London is calling!
This shot was taken at Crissy Field beach, and I am wearing a cold shoulder, cotton shirt dress from ASOS.

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas, Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills, Belmond El Encanto in Santa Barbara, Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in Monterey and the Hotel Zetta in San Francisco.
Our Silver Ford Mustang was hired through Avis.

Thank you for reading and please do follow me on Instagram to see where I am off to next.
