15 beauty products of 2016

15 beauty products of 2016

These are the 15 most obsessed over beauty products of 2016 which I emptied in the WHIITELIST household. If you are looking for beauty products ranging from hair to skincare, to diaper ointment read below.

Chance is now 13 months old, and we still rely on this diaper ointment.
We cannot fault this diaper ointment at all. It smells great, stays on Chance’s bottom, and is part of my own essential beauty routine (video) for either those spots that erupt over night, or as deodorant! Insert ‘see no evil monkey’ emoji here!
To find out about my other uses for this fantastic product see here.
One thing I would say is that as Chance has become more wriggly, it is difficult to get off of your own clothes, and it may be difficult to squeeze out the last bit as the packaging can be kind of tricky...which is why the packaging is all twisted here. Other than that, if you would like an ointment that leaves your bubba’s skin soft and smooth which is 100% natural, look no further.

I wish I had started this earlier. Even though I have a few unnoticeable stretch marks this light and intensive oil, made from natural ingredients and no petrochemicals, leaves my skin feeling nourished. It won’t be the last time you see this regular on #WHIITELISTBuys

Hopefully if you have combination oily skin like me, you aren’t afraid of oils? Once I have cleansed my face, I apply 8 drops of this facial oil into my hands. After breathing in the Jasmine and Calendula I apply to my face. This oil is light. Really light. A must have addition to any morning and night beauty routine, and worth every bit of it’s £65 cost.

Chance went swimming every Saturday, and was basically in and out of our private pool in Zanzibar. Choosing Child’s Farm was a no brainer! Mild, with gentle ingredients, tear free and removes chlorine from hair, it’s a staple.
Plus, the smell of strawberry and organic mint is delicious, it’s no wonder it’s a serial  award winner.

When I received this sample, I wasn’t sure when I would use it until I saw a circular inflammation on my chest that had persisted on and off since I was pregnant. I was hesitant to try any cortisones on the dermatitis until I remembered that this was steroid and fragrance free! The product absorbed into my skin nicely, and made a real difference.

Have you heard of Wakame? Neither had I until I came across the Beauty Boost. Wakame is an antioxidant rich seaweed which stimulates collagen.
Other (nearly organic)  ingredients within the Beauty Boost promote hydration and fight free radicals. If you are looking for glowing, radiant skin invest in the Beauty Boost, but be warned, it’s slightly addictive. The instructions state using a pea sized amount twice weekly, whereas I entered quite an obsessive cycle of using this every evening and waking with glowing beautiful skin, that doesn’t look like you’d been sleep training your toddler.

This body butter is pure luxury. Made of organic pomegranate, rosehip and coconut, this will most likely be one of my go to beauty staples. It smells divine, moisturises and nourishes like you wouldn’t imagine, and can be used on every part of your body from your hair to the cuticles on your toes. Unfortunately this 135ml butter lasted me 3 weeks, when using morning and evening but at a price of £21, it’s well worth it.

Bubblegum scent! Luxurious lather! Cleanses and doesn't dry! Conditions Afro hair like you wouldn’t believe. I have been using this product for about 6 months and finally finished it off when on holiday in Zanzibar. I would highly recommend to all my friends those with Caucasian and Afro hair.

Another Child’s Farm award winner that regularly features within my #WHIITELISTBuys. Made from 98% natural ingredients including argan oil, gentle on both mine and Chance’s skin and simply smells amazing.

As soon as you apply this exfoliant paste the ‘earthy’ aroma hits you, you are aware of the fact that it doesn’t feel like an exfoliator, the fine river-bed quartz is oh so fine! Once the paste has been rinsed off you are left with polished soft skin, courtesy of the lactic acid. I was more than pleasantly surprised at how this worked, and my husband simply loved it. You don’t expect soft skin from such a gentle product, but that’s what you get!

Another #WHIITELISTBuys regular! We have literally been using this oil on both Chance and myself since he was born. Lovely scent, incredibly mild, beautiful texture, not over-oily/greasy, 100% natural, no nasties and rich in vitamins and antioxidants. What more could a Mama ask for?

It’s been awhile since this was featured.
This all-in-one has been shortlisted for awards, and I imagine it’s the slight dryness you get in your hair that means it hasn’t been successful. With that said, it’s 98% natural, tear free and smells of sweet orange and lemon; I heavily relied on this gentle formula for my baby.

By now, you would have realised that I love body washes. Mostly as I like ones that suit not only baby, but me too. I tried this Baby Cow Organics body wash as I was intrigued by the soft scent of Bergamot, lavender and sweet orange. Slightly drying on hair, I loved this product for the fact that it was free from parabens and sulphates.

Another mama and bubba rich massage oil, made from essential oils including Jojoba, Chamomile and Lavender, it has a soft delicate scent.
Hydrates skin in a non greasy manner, a little goes a long way.

If you haven’t read my full review of the Boots Botanics All Bright range, go and have a read here. Or you could watch my review online here, one of my first videos on YouTube and you can possibly see how terrified I was.
This product is another that pleasantly surprised me! It made my skin even, balanced pigmentation, it has exfoliating particles that you can feel which I love; you don’t even have to wet your face for it to begin working on makeup and residue, and I didn’t experience any breakouts.
For £2.50 it’s definitely worth a try!

That’s it for the 15 beauty products of 2016. What empties made your recycling bin last year which you loved? Which products have you tried from the above?

Thank you for reading and please do follow me on Bloglovin’ to keep up with my #WHIITELISTBuys at the end of each month.
