Boots Botanics - 4 beauty products for skin that glows

Boots Botanics - 4 beauty products for skin that glows Face scrub micellar daycream radiance balm

WHIITELIST reviews the Boots Botanics All Bright range, 4 beauty products you never knew you needed until now for more brighter, radiant skin.

In my next life, I would most like to be a beauty Scientist, going to work everyday to create skincare that has been put through its paces to ensure that it works for you and I.
18 days ago I received the Boots Botanics All Bright range, exciting because I had just come to the end of my bareMinerals Skinsorials range and was looking for skincare that is inspired by nature and made with effective ingredients for my combination oily skin.

Que the Boots Botanics All Bright range, where the wonderful Boots Botanics scientists had been working hard on a skincare range that was made with at least 25% recycled content, tested on people, paraben free and used active plant extracts approved by the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew.

I love a good cleanser, a way to wash the day away and all its impurities. The Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution gently removes makeup and unclogs pores and you don’t even need to rinse afterwards!
In one sweep you can cleanse and tone, exactly what you need if you are time poor like myself. Although, if like myself you can be somewhat overzealous then there is no harm in having a quick wash with a cleanser to get that ‘squeaky clean’ feeling that you may miss.

Just apply (over closed eyes as the product does contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids) in the morning and evening using a cotton pad, from eyebrows right the way down to underneath the chin.

Smoother, brighter skin is achieved through the Hibiscus flower, known as Nature’s brightness booster the AHA’s from the flower gently exfoliate. Not just beneficial for those with combination oily skin like myself, but all skin types from sensitive to oily as the formulation is alcohol, soap and fragrance free.

Don’t forget to use sunscreen.

There was a time when I was known for exfoliating almost daily. I hadn’t quite grasped the concept that in order to prevent increased oiliness, I needed to stop abusing my skin by scrubbing so much.
I was chasing radiant, smooth skin that glowed but wasn’t oily.
The Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub contains walnut shell, apricot seeds and the AHAs from the Hibiscus flower. Apricot seeds to help get those impurities and the walnut shell to gently smooth by removing dry flaky skin. It removes the pile up of dead skin cells to get that complexion that glows and reflects light.

On the 3 days where I wasn’t cleansing following using the Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution I used the Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub. Gently massaging in circular movements (avoiding my eyes) with slightly wet fingertips to really allow the walnut shell and apricot seeds to work its magic.
My skin feels so soft following rinsing, and almost like it can breathe.
My t-zone seems to be less oily and mattified by the end of each day and skin seems to be balanced overall.

Earlier I mentioned following using the Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution as it contained AHAs (as most of the range does) it would be best to follow up using sunscreen. This is why I love the Botanics All Bright range as they are serial multitaskers. You can cleanse and tone with the Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution, glow and prime with the Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm and you can hydrate and protect from harmful UVA/UVB rays with the Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF15.

See why I wanted to be a beauty scientist? The natural AHAs from the Hibiscus flower brighten and leave you with smooth skin, the Hyaluronic acid improves the texture by giving your skin’s moisture levels a boost resulting in hydrated and rejuvenated skin, and you don’t even have to worry about being exposed to the Sun’s UVA/UVB rays as you are covered by 5* UVA protection.

I used this following Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution and prior to the Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm twice daily morning and evening, which may not be necessary for you, and loved that it’s so lightweight that it quickly sunk into my skin, smelt incredibly natural and didn’t have any adverse effects on my combination oily skin.

Chasing vitality is something I think most people are guilty of. Nobody wants to look stressed or fatigued. Everybody wants that ‘glow’.
During the winter my skin can get quite dull, and being that Summer seems to be on vacation this year the Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm (also known as the Mac Strobe cream dupe)  came into my life at the perfect time.

I could get that ‘glow’ with the Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm. It’s the AHAs that I mentioned earlier from the Hibiscus flower that allows you to achieve that smoother, brighter skin.

It worked best for me when applied after using Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF15, especially as I have darker skin and this is peachy coloured, it became the perfect base/primer prior to applying foundation.
It’s silky smooth, lightweight, smells divine and properly boosts your foundation giving you that glow.
I mentioned this to a girlfriend of mine (who was incredibly skeptical as she adores her Clarins beauty balm) and she promptly ditched it in favour of the Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm.

I am currently editing a YouTube video to go live on my NEW YouTube channel here where you will be able to see these products in action. Are you subscribed?

Have you tried Botanics products? Do you look for products which are inspired by nature?
