Kiko Milano - 7 Essentials You Need In Your Cosmetics Bag

Kiko Milano - 7 Essentials You Need In Your Cosmetics Bag
KIKO Milano
I have been on the hunt for good makeup for a while now. An observant person pointed out to me that in my post 17 must-have items for your cosmetics case here that there was hardly any makeup cosmetics...whoops?!
Thankfully, a few months ago, I attended the launch event for the KIKO Milano ‘Limited edition trend collection’ so although this post may be overdue...it’s definitely worth the wait.

The KIKO Milano ‘Limited edition trend collection’ was inspired by unquenchable thirst to wander beautiful scenes. Wanderlust!
The visionary and world-renowned Futurist designer Ross Lovegrove had partnered with KIKO Milano to design the packaging for the new summer collection, and I could immediately feel in the shape and functionality of the products that Ross Lovegrove had perfectly captured the ‘KikoNess’!
Sensuality and functionality perfectly entwined.

With British Summer Time finally making an appearance (saying that where did the sun just go) I look to warmer makeup hues, golden accents that evoke that sun kissed feminine beauty look, and makeup that promotes all the good work that I have been doing with my natural skincare routine here.

The glow that can be achieved with a really good blush, bronzer and masterful eye and lip tools.

So, I have compiled a list of the essentials (and collectibles) that you need from this wonderful collection from Kiko Milano to put into your Wanderlust Clutch.
The clutch is that beautiful rose gold bag that you see in all the images, that can fit perfectly into any bag making it incredibly easy to locate all your makeup whilst on the go.

  1. Desert Dunes Baked Bronzer
I have the 201 Sienna Melange (the other of the 2 shades being the 200 Warm Melange) with the fragrance of vanilla, enriched with jojoba oil the ultra-fine powder can be used to blend, sculpt and build a tan...not that I need it. I focus the bronzer on the areas of my face I wish to accentuate my cheekbones and nose creating brightness. The compact, easy to find functionality of the bronzer and the mirror make it easy to apply on the go.

  1. Desert Dunes Trio Baked Blush
The 01 Lust Coral (comes in 3 shades including the 02 Gypsy Pink and 03 Impulsive Mauve) smells, feels and functions the same as the above bronzer. Blending the shades together means that it's perfect for the apples of my cheeks.

  1. In the shade Eyeshadow and Kajal
This comes in 6 shades, and honestly it’s so difficult to decide which is best...but why make a decision and buy all 6. I have 04 Emerald & Petrol Green and 05 Anthracite & Metallic Rose. What’s great is the 2 in 1 of this product, I like the 04 as the eyeshadow as it intensifies the colour of other eyeshadows when used as a base. I use the 05 along the waterline making my eyes look brighter thanks to the Kajal tip.

  1. Endless Sky Volume Effect Mascara
One of my favourite mascaras to date, it protects and volumizes from root to tip and prevents clumps. I have extremely light and short eyelashes but when I apply two strokes of this the intensity is awesome, even the impossible to reach lashes are covered thanks to the state of the art technology.

  1. Free Spirit Lips and Cheeks
I like it when a pencil comes with a wooden sharpener. I have 103 Free Flamingo (although it comes in 6 shades) and use it primarily on my lips. You can use on your cheeks to and use either your fingers or a brush to build up too.

  1. Mirage Lip Stylo
When you first see the lipsticks, you notice the feminine silhouette as directed by Ross Lovegrove, then the magnetic closing and opening of the top. This is functionality at its best especially when applying on the go without dealing with fiddly tops not going on properly and aging your lipstick. Then it’s the cutting edge formula fortified with pigments and special waxes, so that colour is applied slickly and richly with the result of a gloss. I have 09 and 16 Elderberry Spirit.

  1. Heatwave Lip Oil
This lip oil, perfect on it’s own as a lip treatment with colour or with the above lip stylo to enhance the colour.
