#WHIITELISTBuys - 10 Pieces to buy in the Banana Republic Sale

Banana Republic
I actually hate sales. Working on Oxford Street, means that every so often I have to pass that huge SALE sign in all the shop windows, with masses of shoppers left, right and centre.
Understandably, a sale usually screams MASSIVE SAVINGS, 50% off etc etc and you feel like you’ve either won the lottery, or you are picking up a bargain, but are you really?

Every so often, usually when I go into mad binge cleaning mode (ask MrL) I find my cupboard is packed full of clothes that I have only ever worn once, as they're just too ‘fashionable’! Essentially, that’s what a sale can be most oftentime; a cupboard chock full of ‘fashionable’ items that just don’t transcend through the seasons.
Usually, because you bought an item when it was dirt cheap, something you would neither have bought otherwise because it was a. It’s too small and b. not exactly your colour!

When I received the email about the Banana Republic 70% off sale, with the words ‘want.now.’ in the subject, I was like ‘I am not falling into this marketing ploy of creating urgency trap’, especially when I haven’t done my spring clean out! Yet, the email stuck in my mind, so I thought, maybe I will take a quick look and see what was on offer. It’s Banana Republic after all, they do specialise in ‘accessible luxury’ stocking premium products...at er, erm premium price!

Here are the 10 items that I saw that you could wear season after season, that are currently in the Banana Republic sale, which ends on the 24th April 2016. Although I must insert a disclaimer here, that they were still online as of 7pm on Saturday 16th April (yes this is how I spend my Saturday evenings) and may not be there when you have a look, sorry!

Banana Republic
I love a wide leg trouser, you can move around easily, and can be dressed up and down
Banana Republic
Pearl necklaces are good whether they are real or fake, and you can wear this one with a LBD or your a leather jacket.
Banana Republic
This is low maintenance chic, incredibly practical with the double breasted front, big buttons and completely functional.
Banana Republic
The wrap dress suits all body types, my favourite at the moment as it’s perfect for breastfeeding without the need for a ‘breastfeeding’ dress. You can get a Diane Von Furstenberg later, but for now you can make do with this £39.99 bargain.
Banana Republic
The ultimate preppy look, Ralph Lauren does preppy best; if you want something that lasts forever that says smart casual, you will find yourself pulling at a cable knit, always!
Banana Republic
The Little Black Dress, or LBD for short, every wardrobe should have an LBD; you can buy a fab high street version like this or a designer version, but you will always reach for it time after time, for most occassions.

Banana Republic
A blazer is something that can be worn with a LBD or jeans, as styled here. The perfect mix of masculine and feminine, who doesn't love a good blazer.
Banana Republic
Jeans are like men, you are always on a look out for the perfect one, yet, you usually have so many of them! I say, don’t always stick to blue denim, black and white jeans can be staples too.

Banana Republic
As above, you can never have too many jeans.
Banana Republic
I don’t know why, but my outfit always seems complete, with a fur scarf.

Happy Shopping!

  7. I was recommended to try some BR jeans recently... Apparently they are better looking than Topshop jeans. Do you agree? Think I'll have a little look! X
