#FWIS March

Chance & I, this photo received 168 likes on Instagram
This is the first #FWIS (From Where I Sit not stand) post I'm writing as I look back on the past month, of my little corner of the Internet.
I posted 55 pictures on Instagram, tweeted 119 times, started following Something Navy and A new kind of love (my new favourite blogs) on Bloglovin, and created a Facebook page. Click on the links to follow me.

In the month that gave us the Grace Coddington X Comme des garçons collaboration, a new Swedish Royal baby (en pojke) and the Kendall Jenner / Gigi Hadid swapping hair colours for Balmain, a lot happened for me.

At the start of the month Chance, MrL and I, took our first trip to NYC as a family, staying at The Roger, a boutique Madison Avenue haven, wandering the streets of Soho, TriBeCa and Greenwich Village, like 'real' New Yorkers, read about it here
I celebrated my 27th birthday Speak-no-evil monkey and received a lovely Chanel WOC from my 2 favourite boys.
In the same week I celebrated my first Mother's Day, rushed home from the airport not to be waited on by my boys, but actually to surprise mummy, inspired by the blooms of Bloom&Wild here

The following week I honoured women all over the world in celebrating International Women's Day
#IWD2016, and worked on my first partnership with brand EmeryBloom of Sweden and also talked about Chance's minimalist nursery here. If you still haven't used the discount code, it is still active here.  Unfortunately I missed my first Mother's Meeting, after walking around Richmond Park for about 2hrs, that Monday, although my week became fairly exciting from there. I attended S/S16 press events for Kenneth Greene Associates, Hanro and a launch party at the Arts Club for French brand Ba&sh, with friend Chloe Pierre.  Chance had his first waterbabies swim lesson, and took to it like a little dolphin.  Focussed on the positive, and scent-sational for #NationalFragranceDay, styling my Chanel WOC in a heart with my favourite fragrances from Miller Harris and the KGA press day here; as well as 'whetting' my palate for #WorldWaterDay and discussing the benefits of a Bobble here. In advance of Chance's first Easter, a milestone I discussed here (cannot believe he's over 100 days old) I collaborated with the award winning Milestone Cards, to give my readers and followers across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook the opportunity to win baby and toddler photo cards; the competition is open until Sunday April 3rd, see details here to enter, if you haven't already.
Using scents to invest in my purse-onality
Easter Weekend and the long bank holiday was spent enjoying family.A Good Friday fish feast, a mishap with nail polish when marbling eggs following Louise Roe's '
Chic Marble Easter Eggs' (the end result was pretty wasn't it?), another big Sunday roast feast, as well as dashing out to watch Oxford beat Cambridge in the women's, and Cambridge beat Oxford in the men's, for the Cancer Research UK Boat Races 2016.
How I love to live in Barnes, and have the Thames on my doorstep for traditions like these.

With BST, the clocks going forward, I mused over 'losing sleep over sleep' ever so stylishly in my bedclothes. I received a lot of compliments on this on social media, the outfit details for Chance and I are in that post here...backless pyjama top anyone? I did boring stuff like visit my dental hygienist, and tried to be a 'cool mom, not a regular mom' in my round up of my favourites from the A/W16 collection for M.i.h jeans here
Those marble eggs for Easter
The last events of the month, I'm yet to discuss but it's all going to exciting beauty reviews following on from my press breakfast with Aussie brand Sukin, and evening with P&G beauty for the #BeautyPro event at the Hotel Cafe Royal.

The biggest things to happen which I have yet to mention, well... I said hello to nearly 1000 new readers who apparently love my blog, as I caught 5 of you reading it at midnight one morning.
Can I say HELLO to my UK audience, HI to the US, Hej to the Danes and Swedes and Hello/Bonjour to the Canadians (okay so I was reaching there!) but those are my top 5 countries visiting WHITELIST, with top cities in New York and Los Angeles!!!
I broke the 500 milestone on both Twitter and Instagram (I never said I was insta famous) but it's lovely to see over 243% increase in ONE MONTH for someone who isn't particularly social media savvy...I mean I just got Facebook! Enough said!

And...drum roll... I was nominated for a MAD 2016 blog award, in the travel and lifestyle categories and being put forward for the BiBs 2016! WOW! I am just pleased, honoured and humbled to have been nominated, especially alongside bloggers whose blogs I actually enjoy.
I want to say a special thank you in a post I am currently working on, and also ask you nominate my favourites alongside me, and continue to support me, in nominating me some more for both the MADs and the BiBs (click through on both) as wouldn't it be amazing if I was shortlisted and won?

Thank you March! Thank you All!

SAL xx
